I still am not sure if I got it down or not.

I'LL SAVE YOU!
Okayy
Preterite is basically past tense in Spanish, used for completed actions.
For example: "He closed the door." or "She laughed at the bunny." or "They jumped the fence."
These actions were completed in a certain point in time...in the past.
Imperfect can also be used for past tense in Spanish, but for actions that were not completed at a specified time, or to describe habitual actions.
For example: "He was closing the door." or "She was laughing at the bunny" or "They jumped the fence every day."
These actions are ongoing or do not happen at a specified point in time.
In summary, Preterite tense is used for actions that are started and completed in a point in time. Imperfect tense is used for actions that are not completed in a specified point in time, or are repeated (habitual actions --> 'I [verb] every night', 'We always [verb]').
DOES THAT HELP??
YAY ESPANOL.

Actually French is the official universal language of business. But I don't think it matters much anymore since most people in other countries learn English! Spanish rocks.
